Just over 100 Richmond County Students received their free laptops and I gotta say, I'm really excited for them and hope that this will make learning a little easier for them when they're doing E-learning. What are your thoughts?
From The Augusta Chronicle:
Learning just became a little easier for some students in Richmond County after 102 computers were provided by various sponsors throughout the Augusta area.
For the last three decades, the J.R. Riles Community Block Party has provided food, bicycles and computers. This year, organizers were unable to give away bicycles but wanted to make sure students had computers especially as they learn from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Counselors from 29 Richmond County schools provided names of students in need of devices. Each school had three to five students receive brand new HP laptops based on need.
W.S. Hornsby Middle School student Aamia Bennett, 11, was surprised and thankful for the new device. Completing worksheets from home has been “a little hard,” she said.
