Things to do at Steed's Dairy in Grovetown!

If 2020 hasn't brought us anything good, it definitely has brought us the opening of the Maize at Steed's Dairy! It's a great OPEN space area for some fall family fun to kick off the holiday season of Halloween and Thanksgiving! Steed's Dairy has fun for the entire family from the animals which include chickens to goats and piglets! They have a variety of educational tools and activities for the kiddos and picking pumpkins for adults! My favorite part is the concessions because you know, a girl has to eat! LOL And of course we can't forget the awesome Maize, the jumping pillow and the zip lining!

I'm excited for Steed's Dairy to be open! What are you looking forward to?!

From The Augusta Chronicle:

As autumn breezes in and leaves begin to turn orange, families will be able to go to Steed’s Dairy in Grovetown through Nov. 15 to pick pumpkins, pet animals and play.
The Maize at Steed’s Dairy is a fall-oriented event held every Saturday and Sunday on the farm on Wrightsboro Road off Interstate 20. The main attraction is a corn maze cutting through the farm’s five-acre corn field. Owner Jim Steed said the maze usually takes around 20 minutes to get through.
Other activities include a pumpkin patch with pumpkins for sale, corn blasters with targets, hayrides and petting zoos. Steed said they are about education with the fun, which is why they have activities such as a “milking station” and calf-roping for children to learn about farming.
Steed said he reviewed the guidance, and the amount of outside space allows for good social distancing. Masks are not mandatory but are recommended. More sanitation stations have been added, and the staff is sanitizing surfaces throughout the day.
The farm has also created a unique piece of pandemic awareness: This year’s corn maze paths have been created in such a way that an aerial view depicts a picture of a cow wearing a mask with the phrase “Stay Safe ... Moove 6 Feet Away.”
