So it's time for you and your significant other to go out on the town BUT you don't want to spend that much... What do you do?! You fake an engagement to get free drinks like this one couple did in Atlanta, according to Tyla.com...
We've all fibbed about a special occasion to try and get a room upgrade or a free dessert. Haven't we?!
Well,a couplewho had only been together for four *weeks* hatched a plan to bag some free drinks by faking anengagementproposal.
Corinne Miller, 29 and boyfriend, Adam Carroll, 28 from Alabama explained how they staged a proposal during a birthday trip to Atlanta, in a bid to save some pennies on drinks.
The couple managed to get free shots from a number of strangers in the bar, before moving on to another establishment where they were bought even more drinks, explaining they were "celebrating their engagement".
In a video clip, Adam can be seen getting down on one knee in the middle of the bar, with the pair in hysterics at their private joke.
Once Corinne 'said yes', the couple burst out laughing as strangers cheered at the happy news.
One woman looked overjoyed for the pair as she clapped from the sidelines.
Yeah... They pretty much fooled everyone. LOL
