Today is National Radio Day! Celebrate with us by listening to the radio. Of course, I grew up listening to the radio. I mainly paid attention to it when I was a teenager! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would end up with a career in radio. I've been in the business since I was 19 years old. I interned for a morning show in Atlanta, Ga. I fell in love and I knew radio is what I wanted to do!
Why I fell in love with it? I figured out in college that I love to talk. I love to make people laugh and feel good about themselves. It's a dream of mine to have the kind of phone calls with listeners (friends too) that their day was turned upside because of something funny or stupid I may have said. Maybe something encouraging. Hours of Broadcasting school, my associates degree in communication, 5 years with IHeart Radio and here I am making the CSRA FEEL good about themselves!

According to Nationaltoday.com, 71%- More than two-thirds of people surveyed listen to the radio in their car. 67%- Two-out-of-three people surveyed listen to the radio every single day! 48%- Nearly one-in-two love to sing along to the radio.
