This past weekend, a family woke up around 4am to a random dog in their house.
Jack's wife woke him up to alert him, since she had gotten up to get their one-month-old baby. So Jack goes to check the situation... Checking windows and doors- everything is shut. He thinks-- maybe someone is in the house, so he does a security check. At this point he's completely confused and checks his security camera. From the looks of it, after taking his dog out for a walk the night before, the door didn't quite latch closed correctly, and when a storm rolled in, it blew the door open. Around 3:15am, you can see the stray on camera walking by. She stops and looks at the house, hesitates, then walks on in. A short time later, a passerby comes by the house, noticing the door open-- checks to see if everything is okay, and shuts the door. That could've been a BAD situation!
So thankfully, Jack and his wife decided to take care of the dog, taking her to the vet to find out she's not a puppy-- but around 9 years old. Even though they called animal control, they realized that wouldn't be a great solution for a dog of her age and health status. So the family decided to keep the magical "puppy" and have been getting her the treatment she needs!
