There needs to be more things like this in the world!
There's a new housing development that will be unlike any other! It's coming to Conway, SC later this year, after being 3 years in planning and development!
SOS Healthcare will break ground on Oak Tree Farm. This will be an affordable housing community for adults 18 and older who have autism or other disabilities. This gives them a chance to live on their own! Some of these people never thought they'd be able to live independently... until now! Ninety-seven people are set to move in once the development is done. They will learn life skills like cooking, cleaning, paying bills and more.
The community received over 120 applications-- but only have 97 spaces available for now, with hopes of developing more in the future.
The founder said this will help take the pressure off parents, knowing their children will have a place they can live on their own once their gone.
The first phase will be done and residents should be able to move in by December of this year.
