This is exciting, and delicious, news! Evans is getting an Alumni Cookie Dough shop! The idea originated when Jennifer Dollander of Athens, GA went to New York City last summer. She found a shop that served safe and edible cookie dough.
She told her husband that they needed to open a shop in Athens, and by the time she got back to Georgia, he's already gotten the LLC for Alumni Cookie Dough, and they opened the Athens shop in January!
Jennifer's husband is a graduate of Evans High School and told former classmate Pat Cliett about it. Once they were ready to expand, Cliett and his girlfriend were asked about managing the Evans location. An announcement on June 28th on the Facebook page made it official, and the shop will be on Town Park Lane near Takosushi.
The Facebook page already has 1200 followers and people asking about it everyday! They are hoping to open by September first!
