This is a great reminder than anything can happen in a split second.
A local mother is beating herself up for leaving her kids in the car for just a few moments to go pay for gas, because when she did, 2 people jumped in the car and fled. Thankfully, the children were found safe about a quarter mile up the road-- but you can only imagine the trauma that will leave them with the rest of their lives.
The two people are still out there. But there was a good Samaritan that saw the kids by the side of the road and started walking with them back toward the gas station.
What kind of world do we live in? You would think that two children in a vehicle would deter the criminals... but it didn't. More on the story with WRDW.
