It's Monday again! Hope you had a fantastic weekend! This is the first weekend in a while that I haven't had a work event or a run to do. It actually felt a little weird.
Friday was mostly taking care of the pup who had his surgery on Thursday. He was in quite a bit of pain most of the day so trying to keep him comfy was number 1 priority. It was my fiance's weekend to have his daughter so he went to get her on Friday.
Saturday, the pup was feeling considerably better, thankfully. He was moving around easier, and sitting and laying down with no whining. He even tried to play quite a bit and we had to keep him calm (hard when you have a lab that LOVES playing ball).
My sister who lives in NC had been down in my hometown helping my mom (who had thyroid surgery last week), so on her way back home, she wanted to meet up for lunch. I got to see her and my 4 precious nieces. After that we went home and decided to hang out by the fire pit on Saturday night and just relax. Invited a few friends and hung out for bit.
Sunday was pretty uneventful, other than grocery shopping and lunch at my favorite Mexican place! :) Then we had to take my fiance's daughter back to her mom-- so that's a 5+ hour round trip.
To be honest, I had NO idea that the weather was set to get so bad! We drove through a lot of rain, but I didn't realize just how bad it was up near the house! I had friends posting on Facebook about losing power, then I saw that Sportsmans' Corner got hit pretty hard. When we got home, it was just raining and we never lost power. Hopefully you and your family are all safe!
