The 4th of July is Wednesday, which feels a little strange since we'll have a day off in the middle of the week, but I'm looking forward to it!
It's a day we show our patriotism and celebrate our freedom. So what are your plans for the day?
For me, Hannah Mac and I will be meeting up with my mom and sister and running the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta... bright and early on Wednesday morning. This will be my 4th year running it. The Peachtree has been the only time each year I've run a 10k (although I am looking for others to participate in soon). Unlike most races I've run, the Peachtree is my favorite, even though it's the longest one I do! I love it because ALL along your route, you've got TONS of entertainment! I typically get bored when I'm running, but the Peachtree Road Race FLIES by because you have so much to distract you. There are people in costume, people dancing on the side of the street, animals, banners, music... It's amazing! Running with 60,000 of my closest friends! I can't wait!
Then, once we're done with that... we're headed back to the CSRA to celebrate with YOU at Boom! In The Park! Wednesday, 5p-10p at Patriots Park! Hope to see you guys there!

I'm hoping my neighbors don't celebrate the way they did last year.... I was trying to get to bed early on the 3rd since I had to be up so early for the Peachtree Road Race, well... they didn't care. I had so many fireworks going off that it was impossible to sleep, plus it sounded like they were right outside my house. Too many houses too close together for that kind of craziness!
