Someone started a petition to sell Montana to Canada for $1 trillion, and use the money to pay off the national debt. The Montana petition got so big, a committee in the Montana House of Representatives voted yesterday to draft a resoluton denouncing it. They were pretty tongue-in-cheek about it, but the vote passed, 15 to 5. At least one woman on the committee sounded like she didn't think being sold to Canada was that bad an idea. She joked that they have better healthcare, and better syrup.
