TMSG: 3-Year-Old Creates Lemonade Stand To Help Mothers In Need

3-year-old Ava Lewis wanted to start a business so that she could donate some of the money to help babies in need. Ava's lemonade stand in Durham, North Carolina was born and put in front of her mother's hair salon, The Lather Lounge.

After the story aired on WTVD-TV, people started flooding the lemonade stand, buying gallons of lemonade, instead of cups.

Now, Ava's business hours are listed on her Facebook page since people have been coming even when she's not there. With the help of her mother, The Lewis family sold enough lemonade to reach Ava's goal to buy baby supplies for children in need.

They dropped off several boxes of baby wipes and diapers to the Good Samaritan Inn, operated by the Durham Rescue Mission. The organization helps women facing life's toughest challenges and houses an average of 130 women and children each night.
