Woman Has Poisonous Spider Living In Her Ear

A Kansas City woman recently got the scare of a lifetime when she went to the doctor for a water type noise in her ear. Susie Torres told Fox3KC the she woke up last week to a “swooshing” noise in her left ear. “It was like when you went swimming and you have all of that water in your ear," she said.

She initially thought it was a side effect from an allergy shot and went to the doctor. The medical assistant was checking her out when she spotted the true problem.

"She ran out and said, 'I’m going to get a couple more people,' and Torres said, 'I think you have an insect in there,"

After further examination it turned out to be a dime-sized brown recluse spider, which doctors were able to remove without it biting her.

Torres says she will now sleep with cotton balls in her ears.
