Walker Hayes shared two throwback photos to introduce fans to the four-legged friend who inspired the country hitmaker’s next single. “Y’all this is Skeeter. The best dog I ever had,” Hayes wrote in his caption on Instagram. “We will be singing about him together on 8/26,” he announced with the hashtag “That Dog’ll Hunt.”

Hayes’ new music follows other fan-favorites, including his latest, “Y’all Life.” The country anthem serves as a nod to the best parts of living in a small town (including a tribute to Nelly’s iconic hit, “Country Grammar”). The music video was packed with cameos made by “some of my favorite people,” Hayes shared on Instagram when he premiered the video.

That song comes after the release of the country artist’s highly-anticipated project, Country Stuff The Album, which Hayes released in January. The 13-track project included tons of fan favorites, including “Fancy Like,” the wildly popular single that catapulted Hayes to a new level of success. Fans will also recognize “AA,” “Craig” and “Delorean,” among others. Hayes’ mind was blown when he watched a mashup of some of his biggest songs, performed by Tigirlily, a sister duo slated to open for Hayes in the coming weeks.
