Fit 4 School provides free school supplies, health screenings, haircuts and more
Aiken County students of all ages can get a jump start on the new school year at the Family Y in Graniteville on July 19. Presented by Chandler Law Firm, the 15th Annual Fit 4 School will give students school supplies, health screenings, haircuts and more.
Volunteers will give out a variety of school supplies and clothing. This year, there are more health screenings than ever. Students can take advantage of free chiropractic, dental and hearing assessments. There also will be free haircuts, face painting and special appearances from everyone’s favorite superheroes and princesses.
The fun, family-friendly event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, inside the gym at the Aiken County Family Y, 621 Trolley Line Road, Graniteville. For the first time in five years, the event is back in the air-conditioned comfort of the gym.
“We have been blessed with the support of the Aiken community and look forward every year to giving back,” said Everrett Chandler, founding attorney of Chandler Law Firm. “We know that getting ready for a new school year can be overwhelming for some families, and we are thankful that we can help relieve that burden for as many people as possible.”
Fit 4 School is presented by Chandler Law Firm, Fearless Church and the Aiken County Family YMCA.
