New Restaurant Coming BACK to Columbia County!

That's right! KFC is coming BACK to Columbia County! According to The Augusta Chronicle, it's projected to open on December 1st in Grovetown!

From The Augusta Chronicle:

The Colonel is returning to Columbia County.
After a nearly seven-year hiatus,KFCis back. The county's first – and currently only – Kentucky Fried Chicken is set to open in December near Grovetown'sWalmartat 4040 Gateway Blvd.
"We're excited to be in that Grovetown area," saidVic Peeples, whose Madison, Ga.-basedStar Brands IV LLCowns seven other KFCs in the Augusta-Aiken area. "It just took us a while to find the right location."
Peeples acquired the seven eateries from former franchise operatorPry-Wing LLC, which by early 2013 had shuttered all three Columbia County KFCs.
Those properties now house other businesses: the restaurant at 4473 Washington Road in Evans is aSherwin-Williamspaint store; 898 Horizon South Parkway in Grovetown is aWalgreen'spharmacy; and 4088 Jimmie Dyess Parkway in Evans is occupied by theCook Outburger chain.
Pry-Wing, owned by the Pryor and Wingate families of Columbia, S.C., also closed the KFC at 215 Furys Ferry Road in west Augusta near the Columbia County line. That location, which borders the county's Martinez neighborhood, is now one of eight areaBarney's Pharmacydrugstores.
"This will be the first KFC in Columbia County since those were closed," Peeples said.
The new 2,800-square-foot restaurant – at the corner of Gateway and Branch Court, next to theJiffy Lubeand a small strip center housingDiablo's Southwest GrillandSport Clips– will be designed in KFC's new "American Showman" motif, which pays homage to the core values of "Colonel"Harland Sanders, the chain's iconic founder and longtime brand ambassador.

I wonder if they'll have the Mac-n-Cheese bowl?!
