The three year project to widen the bridge on I-20 begins tonight. Crews will start drilling tonight to figure out how to rebuild the foundation-- unless the temperature is below 28 degrees or if it starts raining.
The project will take the current two lane bridges (East and West) and convert them to three lanes each. Many feel this will be a good thing, as the bridges currently seem to cause accidents due to limited space.
The drilling that will start tonight could last 15-18 nights and cause some traffic interruption. Thankfully, the project won't require detours! More on the story here!
