It's October and for me it's the start of fall festivities and Halloween. I've always associated the Joker from Batman with Halloween; I guess because of the make-up on the Joker is scary to me or the mannerisms. Then I also associate the Joker to Heath Ledger. Which of course I loved Heath Ledger as a teenager! I watched countless movies he was in and he did amazing in everything. Back then, if you knew Heath Ledger was in a new movie that was coming out, you knew it was going to be a good movie! Yeah, I'm total fan girl over here...
I don't think I ever recall Heath making a bad movie. His last movie was, "The Dark Knight." My heart broke when I saw the news that he had passed away. You mean to tell me, one of my favorite actors won't have another chance to make more good movies. I used to think I would be old enough to marry Heath Ledger. Only in my dreams, right?
Anyway, we caught up with Maggie Gyllenhaal on yahoo.com as she remembers Ledger on the "Live with Andy Cohen" show. Maggie recalls Ledger, "I remember coming to work and seeing him — that scene where the Joker throws me off a roof — and seeing him come in and start to do what he was doing, which was the first time I saw it,” she said of the method actor’s work. "I still think about this sometimes.”
