A North Carolina man was arrested after he alleged robbed a family at gunpoint and then forced them to take him shopping at Target. According to ABC11, 29-year-old Rollin Anthony Owens Jr. was charged with "several counts of second-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon."
On Tuesday(June 19) morning Owens Jr. knocked on a door in Durham, NC asking for money. The resident who answered the door gave him cash, but that was not enough. He flashed a gun and forced the family of four into their vehicle. He demanded they drive to an ATM and then to a nearby convenience store.
That was not enough for Owens Jr., who then demanded the family drive him to Target to continue his shopping spree. A shopper noticed something was wrong and called 911. Luckily for the family, police were already in the parking lot and were able to arrest him without incident.
